Nora Conway, OD
I am not a city person. I love my quiet little rural Pennsylvania and all it has to offer. So when I went away to Optometry school in Philadelphia, I knew my goals were to come back home and practice.

While interning with a local Optometrist, I learned that he had taken his son to a Developmental Optometrist in Pittsburgh after he suffered a concussion playing sports and was having trouble with his vision. Because Vision Therapy is a specialized area of optometry, this young man required a specialist and his father did not feel comfortable treating him. After treatment with Vision Therapy his vision problems were no longer affecting him.

I ran into the exact same scenario on another rotation with a different Optometrist. As I finished my schooling I found my heart pulling me towards this specialized area of Optometry due to the need at home. While working with my therapy patients a passion for Developmental Optometry ignited inside me.

After graduation I worked locally, but never forgot my desire to serve my community by offering Vision Therapy. When the opportunity to specialize came knocking, I just couldn’t pass it up. So, my very supportive husband, 6 week old baby, and I went to Manitoba, Canada and finished an optional residency program to become a Developmental Optometrist.

We are honored to serve our community!
